I have track down and made a first run on the layout. Unfortunately 50' boxcars do not track well on the curves, so 40' boxcars will be used along with the 70 ton switcher. I also constructed a removable staging track on the left side of the layout. This will be hidden by a fascia board.
I finally got around to weathering this old Athearn Bev-Bel boxcar. I also weathered up a gondola, and I'm thinking about staging it on the middle track. This will represent an old forgotten gon left on the storage track that was once used by the now abandoned clay pits.
